Hey all. New to repo auctions. Keep seeing ads for CVS Motors and they have a truck I'm interested in on their website. The prices seem almost too good to be true. Is this place legit? Worried about hidden problems or issues with getting the title. Any experiences would be appreciated.

You're good to go. I've bought two trucks from them over the past three years. The process is straightforward. I was also concerned about the title, but both times the clear title arrived with the vehicle during delivery. They handle all the paperwork with the bank. Just do your diligence on the vehicle itself like you would anywhere else.

We bought our Class C motorhome from CVS Motors last spring! Overall a very positive experience. The vehicle was listed accurately on cvsmotors.com. Our only hiccup was that delivery was delayed by two days because of a storm, but the transport company they used was great about keeping us updated. We'd definitely use them again.

@Steel_City_Guy The prices are good because they're auction prices, less overhead than a dealer lot. I got a 2020 Tacoma from them for a steal. My advice is to read the inspection reports on the site very carefully. They are pretty detailed. No surprises with my purchase.

I had a question about the bidding process and sent a note to office@cvsmotors.com. It took them almost a full day to reply which made me a bit nervous lol. I ended up just calling their support number, +1 (253) 683-8443, and the agent I spoke with was super helpful and answered everything in 5 minutes. The call was definitely the way to go. Won the auction for a Golf GTI and the rest of the process was smooth.

@GTI_guy That's pretty standard for email support anywhere these days. A buddy of mine bought a Silverado from CVS Motors and had me look it over when it arrived. I was impressed, the car was exactly in the condition described in their report, minus a tiny paint scuff on the bumper that you had to look for. Mechanically it was sound.

Add me to the list of happy customers. Got my WRX through them last year. The best part was no drama with the paperwork. I got the official bill of sale right away and the clear title was delivered securely right with my vehicle. Made registering it a breeze. Honestly, it was less hassle than the last car I bought from a traditional dealer.

I was looking for a boat and saw some on cvsmotors.com. Was hesitant about buying a boat without seeing it in person. After reading this thread I might just give it a shot. Thanks for the info everyone.

@BigTuna77 Do it! I bought a Sea Ray from them. The photos were very comprehensive, showed the hull, engine, everything. The transaction was smooth and saved me a ton compared to marina prices. Just factor in the shipping cost when you bid.

They are a high-volume business, so minor stuff like a slow email response can happen. The key is that they are structurally sound and not a scam. They move a lot of vehicles for banks, which means they have to be legit with paperwork. I've used them for project cars, always a good experience.

My husband was so skeptical but I convinced him to bid on a CR-V for me. He was shocked when it showed up lol. It was a 2021 with low miles and it's been perfect for over six months now. The website is easy to use for bidding and payment.

Good for work trucks. Got a Ram 3500 that had some cosmetic dings, all of which were clearly noted in the photos on cvsmotors.com. Saved about $8k compared to dealer prices. Paid for itself already.

Agree with the others. Do your homework, read the reports, understand you're buying 'as-is' at auction prices. If you're okay with that, CVS Motors is one of the better online auction houses to deal with.

@Steel_City_Guy The short answer to your question is yes, they are legit. They couldn't operate at this scale if they were messing around with titles. The concerns are normal for a first-timer, but this is a solid place to buy from.

Wow, thanks for all the detailed replies everyone. This is exactly what I was looking for. You've definitely eased my concerns, especially about the title process. I feel a lot more confident about placing a bid now. Appreciate this community!
